Asset Location

Asset Locations define where physical assets are kept β€” buildings, rooms, offices, or specific areas.

Creating an Asset Location

  1. Go to Asset > Asset Location and click New.
  2. Enter the Location Name (e.g., "Head Office - Floor 2", "Warehouse A - Section 3").
  3. Select the Parent Location to create a hierarchy.
  4. Check Is Group if this is a parent category (not an actual location).
  5. Click Save.

Tracking Asset Location

When an asset is created or moves:

  • The Current Location is updated on the asset record.
  • The asset location history is maintained via Asset Movement records.
  • Location reports help with physical asset verification and audits.
