Lead
A Lead is a potential customer — an individual or organization that has shown interest in your products or services but has not yet been qualified.
Creating a Lead
- Go to CRM > Lead and click New.
- Choose how the lead was generated:
- Organization or Individual
- Enter the Lead Name (company or person name)
- Enter contact information:
- Email, Mobile, Phone
- Website, Address
- Set the Source (how the lead found you):
- Website, Exhibition, Advertisement, Referral, Cold Call, etc.
- Assign a Lead Owner (the salesperson responsible).
- Select the Territory (Riyadh, Jeddah, Dammam, etc.).
- Click Save.
Lead Status
| Status | Description |
|---|---|
| Lead | New, not yet contacted |
| Open | Contacted, being pursued |
| Replied | Lead has responded |
| Opportunity | Qualified — converted to an opportunity |
| Interested | Showed interest but not ready |
| Converted | Became a customer |
| Do Not Contact | Opted out or not interested |
| Lost | Lost to competitor or no response |
Lead Activities
Track interactions with the lead:
- Emails: Send and log emails
- Calls: Log phone conversations
- Meetings: Schedule and log meetings
- Notes: Add internal notes
- Tasks: Assign follow-up tasks
Converting a Lead
When a lead is ready to do business:
Convert to Opportunity
- Open the Lead.
- Click Create > Opportunity.
- The Opportunity is created with the lead's information.
- Track the deal through the sales pipeline.
Convert to Customer
- Open the Lead.
- Click Create > Customer.
- The Customer record is created from the lead data.
- The Lead status changes to Converted.
Lead Sources
Track where your leads come from to measure marketing effectiveness:
- Website / Online: Contact form, live chat
- Exhibition / Trade Show: In-person events
- Advertisement: Paid ads (Google, LinkedIn, etc.)
- Referral: Existing customer or partner referral
- Cold Call / Email: Outbound prospecting
- Social Media: LinkedIn, Twitter, Instagram
