ZATCA Phase 2 E-Invoicing

YousrERP integrates with ZATCA (Zakat, Tax and Customs Authority) for Phase 2 e-invoicing compliance using the LavaLoon KSA Compliance app. This means your sales invoices are automatically submitted to ZATCA's Fatoora portal for clearance β€” with QR codes, cryptographic stamps, and XML generation handled automatically.

What ZATCA Phase 2 Means

Phase 2 requires businesses to:

  1. Submit invoices to ZATCA in real-time (or near real-time) for clearance
  2. Include QR codes on every invoice for verification
  3. Generate XML in ZATCA's required format (UBL 2.1)
  4. Cryptographically sign each invoice
  5. Receive clearance responses from ZATCA (accepted/rejected)
  6. Handle rejected invoices through correction and resubmission

YousrERP handles all of this automatically once you complete the onboarding.

Integration Modes

Mode Description
Live (Real-time) Invoice is submitted to ZATCA immediately upon submission in YousrERP. You get an instant response (accepted/rejected).
Batch Invoices are queued and submitted in groups at scheduled intervals. Used when real-time is not required or during onboarding.

YousrERP supports both modes, configurable per company.

Invoice Types

Type Description
Standard Invoice (B2B) For business-to-business transactions. Requires buyer VAT registration number.
Simplified Invoice (B2C) For business-to-consumer transactions. No buyer VAT needed, uses a different format.
Credit Note For returns and adjustments β€” submitted as a related document.
Debit Note For purchase returns affecting your books.

What Happens When You Submit an Invoice

You submit Sales Invoice in YousrERP
    ↓
System checks ZATCA compliance rules
    ↓
XML is generated (UBL 2.1 format)
    ↓
XML is cryptographically signed
    ↓
Invoice is sent to ZATCA Fatoora portal
    ↓
ZATCA responds: Accepted / Rejected / Pending
    ↓
Status updates on the invoice in YousrERP
    ↓
QR code and XML are embedded in the invoice
