Item Price
Item Price records store the buying and selling prices for items. Prices can vary by price list, date range, and minimum quantity.
Creating an Item Price
- Go to Stock > Item Price and click New.
- Select the Item Code.
- Choose the Price List this price applies to.
- Enter the Rate (unit price).
- Optionally set:
- Valid From and Valid To: Effective date range
- Minimum Qty: Minimum order quantity for this price
- Customer/Supplier: Party-specific pricing
- Currency: If different from the price list currency
- Unit: UOM (if different from default)
- Click Save.
Price Types

Multiple Prices Per Item
An item can have multiple prices:
- Different price lists for different markets
- Quantity-based pricing (higher quantities, lower price)
- Customer/supplier-specific negotiated rates
- Seasonal pricing with valid-from/to dates
Price in Transactions
When adding an item to a transaction:
- The system checks the transaction's price list.
- It finds the matching Item Price record.
- If a Pricing Rule applies, it adjusts the price.
- The user can manually override the price (if permissions allow).
Importing Prices
Use the Data Import tool to import item prices from Excel or CSV files for bulk updates.
