Track Items Using Barcode

Barcode tracking allows you to scan items for faster identification in warehouses, at point of sale, and during shipping/receiving. Each item has a unique barcode that can be printed and scanned.

Setting Up Barcodes

  1. Open an Item record.
  2. In the Barcode field, enter a barcode value.
  3. You can manually enter the barcode or use a barcode scanner to capture it.
  4. Save the item.

Generating Barcodes

YousrERP can generate barcode labels:

  1. Go to Stock > Barcode Generator or use the Print Barcode option from the item.
  2. Select the items and quantities.
  3. Choose the barcode format.
  4. Print labels on barcode printer or on regular paper.

Barcode Scanning

In Purchase Receipt

  1. Scan the barcode to select the item.
  2. Enter the quantity.
  3. The item is added to the receipt automatically.

In Delivery Note / Sales

  1. Scan barcodes of items being shipped.
  2. Quantities are auto-populated.
  3. Verify against the order.

In Stock Reconciliation

  1. Scan items during physical count.
  2. Enter counted quantities.
  3. Faster, more accurate than manual entry.

Barcode Formats

YousrERP supports common barcode formats:

  • Code 128: General purpose, most common
  • EAN-13: Retail products
  • UPC-A: North American retail
  • QR Code: 2D barcodes (can include more data like serial numbers, batch numbers)

Mobile Scanning

Use the YousrERP mobile app or browser on a handheld scanner/tablet for warehouse operations. This enables real-time scanning during:

  • Picking and packing
  • Receiving shipments
  • Stock counting
  • Item lookup
