Job Card
A Job Card tracks the time and progress of each manufacturing operation for a Work Order. It records which operator performed the work, how long it took, and whether quality checks were passed.
Creating a Job Card
Job Cards are auto-created when a Work Order is submitted. Each operation defined in the BOM generates one Job Card.
To view or manage Job Cards:
- Go to Manufacturing > Job Card.
- Each Job Card shows:
- Work Order: The parent production order
- Operation: Which manufacturing step
- Workstation: Where the work is performed
- Employee / Operator: Who is performing the operation
- Status: Open, In Progress, Completed, On Hold
Job Card Workflow
- Work Order Submitted โ Job Cards are created for each operation.
- Operator starts work โ Job Card status changes to In Progress.
- Start Time is recorded.
- Operator completes the operation โ status changes to Completed.
- End Time is recorded.
- Total Time Taken = End Time - Start Time.
