Product Bundle
A Product Bundle allows you to sell a combination of items as a single product. When the bundle is added to a transaction, all component items are automatically included.
When to Use Product Bundles
- Gift Sets: Bundle related products together (e.g., "Skincare Set")
- Starter Kits: Combine everything a new customer needs
- Promotional Offers: "Buy X and get Y free" bundles
- Assembled Products: Sell built-up items without tracking manufacturing
- Service Packages: Bundle products and services together
Creating a Product Bundle
- Create a parent Item and check Is Product Bundle.
- In the Product Bundle section, add component items:
- Select the Item Code for each component
- Enter the Quantity included in the bundle
- Optionally set a Description for the bundle context
- Click Save.
How It Works in Transactions
When you add a Product Bundle to a Sales Order or Quotation:
- The bundle item appears as one line.
- All component items are automatically added to the transaction.
- Each component uses its own price from the applicable price list.
- The bundle's list price is the sum of component prices (unless overridden).
Inventory Impact
- Product bundles do NOT have their own inventory.
- Each component's inventory is tracked individually.
- When items are delivered, each component's stock is deducted.
Pricing
- The bundle price is calculated as the sum of component prices.
- You can override the total bundle price (the difference is distributed among components).
- Pricing Rules can apply special bundle pricing.
