Terms and Conditions
Terms and Conditions (T&C) are standard legal text added to sales and purchase transactions. You can create multiple T&C templates and apply them to different types of transactions.
Creating Terms and Conditions
- Go to Buying/Selling > Terms and Conditions and click New.
- Enter a Title for this T&C template.
- Check Disabled if this template should not be available for selection.
- Write or paste your terms and conditions text.
- Click Save.
T&C Content
Typical terms and conditions include:
- Payment Terms: When and how payment should be made
- Delivery Terms: Delivery timelines and responsibilities
- Warranty Information: Warranty period and terms
- Return Policy: Conditions for returns and refunds
- Liability Clauses: Limitations of liability
- Governing Law: Jurisdiction and applicable law (Saudi law)
- VAT Clause: Statement about VAT applicability
Using Terms and Conditions
T&C can be applied at multiple levels:
- Company Level: Default T&C in the Company master.
- Global Defaults: System-wide default T&C.
- Transaction Level: Selected on individual Sales Orders, Purchase Orders, and Invoices.
Printing Terms and Conditions
When you print a document (invoice, order, quotation), the selected T&C appears at the bottom of the printed document. This ensures all legal and commercial terms are clearly communicated to your customers and suppliers.
Multiple T&C Templates
It's recommended to create separate T&C for:
- Sales: Warranties, delivery timelines, return policies, VAT terms
- Purchases: Inspection rights, delivery conditions, payment terms
- Services: Scope of work, limitations, service level agreements
