Role and Role Profile
A Role Profile bundles multiple roles together, making it easy to assign a standard set of permissions when creating new users.
Role
A Role is a collection of permissions. When you assign a role to a user, that user inherits all the permissions configured for that role.
Creating a Role
- Go to Users and Permissions > Role and click New.
- Enter a Role Name (e.g., "Branch Accountant").
- Check Disabled if the role should not be available for assignment.
- Choose the Desk Access level for this role.
- Click Save.
After creating the role, use the Role Permissions Manager to set what this role can access.
Role Profile
A Role Profile bundles multiple roles together. Instead of assigning 5-6 roles individually to each new user, you create a Role Profile once and assign it.
Creating a Role Profile
- Go to Users and Permissions > Role Profile and click New.
- Enter a Profile Name (e.g., "Sales Team Member").
- Select the roles to include (e.g., Employee, Sales User, Stock User).
- Click Save.
Example Role Profiles
| Profile Name | Included Roles |
|---|---|
| Accountant | Employee, Accounts User, Accounts Manager |
| Salesperson | Employee, Sales User, Stock User |

| Branch Manager | Employee, Accounts User, Sales Manager, Purchase Manager, Stock Manager |
