Role and Role Profile

A Role Profile bundles multiple roles together, making it easy to assign a standard set of permissions when creating new users.

Role

A Role is a collection of permissions. When you assign a role to a user, that user inherits all the permissions configured for that role.

Creating a Role

  1. Go to Users and Permissions > Role and click New.
  2. Enter a Role Name (e.g., "Branch Accountant").
  3. Check Disabled if the role should not be available for assignment.
  4. Choose the Desk Access level for this role.
  5. Click Save.

After creating the role, use the Role Permissions Manager to set what this role can access.

Role Profile

A Role Profile bundles multiple roles together. Instead of assigning 5-6 roles individually to each new user, you create a Role Profile once and assign it.

Creating a Role Profile

  1. Go to Users and Permissions > Role Profile and click New.
  2. Enter a Profile Name (e.g., "Sales Team Member").
  3. Select the roles to include (e.g., Employee, Sales User, Stock User).
  4. Click Save.
