Timesheets
Timesheets record the time spent by employees on tasks and projects. This data is used for project costing, customer billing, and payroll.
Creating a Timesheet
- Go to Projects > Timesheet and click New.
- Select the Employee.
- Set the Start Date and End Date for the timesheet period.
- Add time entries in the Time Logs table:
- Task: The task worked on
- Project: The project (auto-filled from task)
- Activity Type: Type of work done
- From Time / To Time: Start and end time
- Hours: Auto-calculated from time or entered manually
- Billing Hours: Billable hours (if different from actual)
- Expected Hours: Planned hours for this task
- Click Save and Submit.
Timesheet Status

| Rejected | Returned for correction |
| Billed | Hours invoiced to customer |
Time Tracking Features
- Timer: Start/stop a timer directly on the task.
- Weekly Timesheet: Fill in a week's worth of time entries at once.
- Bulk Entry: Add multiple time entries quickly.
- Mobile App: Log time on the go.
Billing from Timesheets
Timesheet hours can be billed to customers:
- Set the Billing Rate on the employee or project.
- Hours logged are multiplied by the billing rate.
- Create a Sales Invoice from the timesheet to bill the customer.
Project Costing
Timesheets contribute to project costs:
- Employee Cost Rate × Hours = Labor Cost
- Compare actual labor cost against budget.
- Track project profitability (Revenue - Cost = Margin).
