Global Defaults

Global Defaults allow you to set system-wide default values for commonly used fields. These defaults are automatically filled in when creating new documents, saving you time and ensuring consistency.

Access Global Defaults from: Settings > Global Defaults.

Core Defaults

  • Default Company: The company that will be auto-selected when creating transactions. If you have multiple companies, set the most frequently used one.
  • Default Currency: Set the default currency for all transactions (SAR for Saudi Arabia).
  • Default Distance Unit: Choose between Kilometer or Mile. For Saudi Arabia, set to Kilometer.
  • Country: Saudi Arabia.

Transaction Defaults

  • Default Letter Head: The letterhead that appears by default on printed documents.
  • Default Terms and Conditions: Default T&C applied to sales and purchase transactions.
  • Default Holiday List: The holiday calendar used for date calculations (e.g., Saudi National Day, Eid holidays).
  • Default Print Format: The standard print layout for documents.

Stock Defaults

  • Default Warehouse: The primary warehouse where stock is received or shipped from by default.
  • Default Item Group: The item group used when creating new items without specifying one.

Accounting Defaults

  • Default Receivable Account: The default account for customer receivables.
  • Default Payable Account: The default account for supplier payables.
  • Default Income Account: The default income account for sales items.
  • Default Expense Account: The default expense account for purchases.
  • Default Cost Center: The default cost center for transactions.

Setting Global Defaults

  1. Go to Settings > Global Defaults.
  2. Update the fields as needed for your organization.
  3. Click Save.

These defaults can be overridden on individual documents when needed. Setting them correctly at the system level reduces data entry errors and speeds up transaction processing.
